Opening Ceremonies

A marching band gets things started!

Helping us warm up on a chilly and damp morning was The Baltimore City Marching Knights!

The National Anthem

The opening ceremonies always includes the singing of our Nation Anthem.  This year we were led by the Baltimore Men's Chorus

Lighting the Flame

The Soda Quackers are the 2023 Grand Champions with Mr. Jon Dig-it and with that comes the honor of lighting the flame to launch the 2024 race.  After some technical difficulties (such getting the "torch" and turning on the propane), our new member Aylin Green reignited the Kinetic Eternal Flame!

The Obstacles

Tackled the first hill!

The first big challenge is the climb into Federal Hill Park.  Swiftie's pilots and pit crew were so happy to reach the top!

The Harbor

Our unique water entry delighted the crowd!  Swiftie  floated beautifully and pilots were able to maneuver her around the dock and back to land!

Celebrating the Win!

The People's Choice recognition has been a goal of the Soda Quackers!  The exuberant team accepted with a performance of their Splash It Off dance!
