"Head in the Clouds, Feet on the Ground" - Having fun since 2013!
More than 40 entries participated in AVAM's 2021 Honey I Shrunk the Kinetic Sculpture Race held on Saturday, May 1. The competition was tough but Howley's clever, whimsical, and kinetic design pleased the Art Judges! This is the Soda Quackers first award in this category, which considers color, 2-D & 3-D artistic design, kinetic motion, humor, theatrical appeal, and media-glory seeking. Continue below to learn more about the theme, design, and team who created yet another Soda Quackers success story!
Do not dismiss this little chopper! "Howley-Davidson" is packed full of fury, from its strength in design to its aggressive demeanor. With the pull of a cord, this kinetic sculpture is fully animated, popping wheelies and tackling any obstacle. It is Howley's dream to catch the flying sheep that bob up and down in front of him!
No kinetic sculpture race is complete without bribes for the judges! Of course we win based on our talent, but it never hurts to encourage a positive review. We thank our flying sheep for their contribution.
Leading the Howley-Davidson team ("pilots") are Cliff Wagner, Jim Lomax, Rich Freedman, and David Deakin. Pit Crew includes Michael Bird, Erik Shuster, Barney Stone, and Kathy Manetas.
Testing all systems!
